Head of Quality Assurance

Our client is an innovative healthcare company based just outside of the thriving city of Liverpool.  They are looking for a new Head of Quality to cement the union of the company’s Quality Assurance team under one leader (preferably with a background as an EU Certified Qualified Person also).

This role is a senior management position and requires someone who has the ability to lead a team effectively and grow a team, all whilst keeping a firm eye on the technical aspects of managing the Quality System for a large company.

ROLE

• Develop and improve the internal Quality Assurance and compliance standards based on GMP and GLP guidelines on this site
• Ensure leadership and oversight of all day to day quality actions (Quality Assurance and Quality control) internally within the entire organisation in order to maintain supply chain process within GMP guidelines
• Work in line with Supply Chain to make sure the process is optimised in the best way it can, and to the satisfaction of the final customer
• Act as Qualified Person with a personal responsibility for ensuring that the needed tests and controls are carried out and to give your signature to certify each batch, to ensure confirmation that the appropriate tests have been carried out and that it complies with the relevant marketing authorisation
• Lead the entire QA team and manage their personal development and day to day activities as well as investigating required new talent to be brought into the business and where there are holes and requirements in the existing Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams.

REQUIRED (Essential)

• Previous experience within Quality Assurance in a management position (ideally Associate Director or above)
• Strong technical experience within Quality Assurance with a focus on GMP and GLP environments (Must have GMP & GLP Experience)

REQUIRED (Preferred)

• Be an EU Certified QP (Qualified Person) for batch release of pharmaceutical product

REMUNERATION

• Basic Salary of £55K (if non-QP) - £75K (if QP) Per Annum
