Description

Opportunity for a Chemistry Graduate to Join a Specialist Manufacturer of Flavours and Fragrances within the QC Department

ROLE

  • Liaison with the Product Development and Production Team in respect of Organoleptic Testing of Chemicals and Shelf Life Extension of Raw Materials used for Production
  • Sampling and Testing of All Incoming Raw Materials, Components, Finished Products, According to In-House Specifications and Method Analysis, Using GC, GC-MS, and Wet Chemistry Techniques
  • Complete all Assigned HACCP Monitoring Documents Daily/Weekly, and Report All Non-Conformances to the Quality Manager
  • Ensure All Laboratory Tasks are Performed in keeping with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and that Production Processes Adhere to the Principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Conduct Factory Inspections, Hard Plastic and Glass Audit, GMP Auditing and Traceability
  • Assist in Preparation and Review of GMP Related Documents (SOP’s, Analytical Methods, Specifications, etc)
  • Conduct Environmental Swabbing of Designated Area as per Schedule
  • Conduct Analytical Equipment Calibration Activities Daily/Weekly as per Procedure
  • Highlight and Conduct Investigations on Non-Conformances and Out of Specifications, Including Recommendations and Writing of Reports
  • Label and Maintain Samples of Ingredients and Products for Retains or Shelf Life Monitoring and Identification of Potential Hazards and Solutions
  • Contribute to the Investigation of Customer Complaints
  • Ensure all Flavour and Fragrance Manufactured Products Comply with All Regulatory and Product Safety Criteria

REQUIRED

  • Appropriate Scientific Qualification
  • Experience of Working within a GLP/GMP Environment
  • Familiarisation with GC, GC-MS, and Wet Chemistry Techniques
  • Experience of HACCP Documentation
