Surface Mount Technology Specialist

Specialist Electronic Manufacturing Services Company are Seeking to a Add Surface Mount Technology Operative to their Team, to Support the Continued Expansion of this Established and Successful Company

ROLE

• Operating Machines eg Soldering Irons, Wave Guns, or Pick and Place Machines to Apply Components to Boards or Other Surfaces
• Operating Machine that Dispenses Solder Paste, which is Melted and then Applied to Printed Circuit Boards by a Computerised Process
• Observing Manufacturing Processes to Ensure Smooth and Efficient Running
• Performing Routine Maintenance on Production Equipment to Ensure Functioning Properly
• Performing Quality Control Checks on Products to Ensure Conformance with Specifications
• Inspecting Parts for Defects Before and After the Production Process to Ensure Quality Standards are Maintained
• Installing and Testing Components eg Transistors, Resistors, Capacitors, Diodes, and Other Semiconductor Devices into Printed Circuit Boards (PCB’s) or Other Electronic Components
• Installing and Repairing Equipment eg Production Machinery, Robots, and Other Automated Processes Used in Manufacturing

REQUIRED

• Good Standard of Secondary Education
• Knowledge of Electronics is Advantageous, On-the-Job Training will be Provided
• Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) is Advantageous
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Problem Solving Skills
• Basic Health and Safety Awareness
• Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures
• Strict Attention to Detail
• Effective Communication Skills
• Appreciation of Teamworking

REMUNERATION

• £27.5K p/a Subject to Qualifications and Experience
