ROLE

• Development of Innovative and Technically Advanced New Products and Reformulation of Existing Products
• Development of Formulae to Brief and On-Time, whilst Reducing Complexity and Costs of Products
• Researching and Developing Innovative Concepts
• Researching New Technologies and Opportunities for New Product Development
• Participating in Process and Cost Improvement Measures
• Establishing and Maintaining Relationships with Existing and New Suppliers
• Facilitating Scale Up from Laboratory to Trial/Pilot and Full-Scale Batches and Undertaking Manufacturing Validations
• Modifying and Approving Formulations, Product Specifications and Manufacturing Procedures

REQUIRED

• Science Degree, Preferably Formulation Chemistry, Materials Science, Organic Chemistry or Similar
• Cosmetics Specialisation, Including Sun Care and Hair Care Products
• Extensive Hands-On Experience in the Development and Formulation of Personal Care, Cosmetics and Therapeutic Products.
• Proven Experience with Formulation of Emulsions
• Experience with Surfactants, Additives and Formulation Preservatives
• Adept at Performing and Interpreting Literature Searches
• Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills, Including Report Writing and Presentation
• Providing Leadership Focus to the R&D Laboratory Technicians
• Ability to Work Autonomously or as Part of a Team

REMUNERATION

• Basic Salary of £50K Per Annum with Appropriate Benefits and Relocation Package
