Description

Reporting Directly to the CEO, this is a Key Managerial Role within a Well Established Company that Encourages All Employees to Actively Contribute to its Ongoing Success

ROLE (Quality Direct)

  • Continuing Maintenance and Development of Third Party Approvals, Including BBA, CE, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2015
  • Maintenance of the Company Quality and Environmental Systems
  • Maintenance of Items within the Company Calibration Register
  • Planning and Conducting Internal Audits
  • Maintenance of Quality Records
  • Identifying Non-Conformance and Potential Non-Conformance and Ensuring Timely and Appropriate Corrective and Preventive Action
  • Compiling a Monthly Quality Report for Submission to the Board
  • Issuing Certificates of Conformity and Test Certificates
  • Scheduling and Chairing Quality Management Review Meetings
  • Managing Continual Improvement in Accordance with Company Policy

ROLE (Quality Indirect)

  • Ensuring Supplier Evaluation
  • Ensuring Patrol Inspection
  • Ensuring All Samples of Finished Product, Mixes and Raw Materials are Tested in Accordance with a Quality Plan
  • Ensuring the Status of All Goods and Materials is Known at All Times
  • Representing the Quality Function by Responding to Quality Related Concerns of Customers and Suppliers
  • Shaping the Company Quality Policy and Ensuring that this Policy is Understood at All Levels of the Organisation

ROLE (Safety)

  • Provide Safety Advice to Management and Other Employees
  • Weekly Safety Patrols
  • Liaising with External Consultants, HSE and Other Third Parties
  • Recording of Any Accidents and Follow Up Investigations
  • Preparation of Risk Assessments for All Company Activities
  • Monthly Progress Reports

ROLE (Environmental)

  • Maintenance of EA Permit to Operate a Controlled Process, Issued by the Local Council
  • Liaising with External Parties eg the EA
  • Maintenance of Waste Disposal Records
  • Monthly Reporting of Any Issues

REQUIRED

  • Scientific or Engineering Qualifications, (Appropriate Degree Desirable)
  • QH&SE Qualifications and Memberships eg NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, British Safety Council Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, City & Guilds Level 5 (NVQ) Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice, NCRQ Level 6 Diploma in Applied Health and Safety
  • Demonstrable Experience of Working in a Similar Capacity (QH&SE Position in a Manufacturing Environment)
