An Exciting Opportunity for the Successful Applicant to Establish and Develop an Excellent and Rewarding Career within this Emerging and Rapidly Expanding Business which Provides a Proprietary and Sophisticated Range of Coating Technologies for Applications across a Range of Industry Sectors

Reporting Directly to the Business Development Director, the Technical Sales Manager will be Responsible for Identifying New Prospects and Developing Key Accounts within the UK and Europe, as well as Providing Commercial Support Globally.  The Role will Comprise of Mix of Office and Field Based Work, with Typically 3 Days Per Week, Directly Interfacing with Customers/Potential Customers

R O L E

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT 

  • In Conjunction with the Business Development Team, Identify Applications and Markets for Company Product(s)
  • Engagement with Prospective Clients to Understand their Critical Needs and Address Value Drivers, to Develop Fully Costed Propositions
  • Identify and Prioritise Sales Prospects, Consistent with Sales Strategy
  • Attend Scientific Fairs and Exhibitions to Promote the Company Product(s) and Services and Develop Market Opportunities
  • Use of Social Media to Network with Target Markets and Key Individuals

SALES 

  • Develop, Maintain and Optimise Relationships with All Relevant Customer Contacts/Decision Makers
  • Regular Customer Visits and After Sales Activity, Including Quality Assurance, Sales Administration and Development of Repeat Business Prospects
  • Prepare Fully Costed Proposals
  • Present Proposals to Existing and Prospective Clients
  • Engage with Prospective Clients to Identify and Resolve Barriers to Purchase, Negotiate Contractual Terms and Close Profitable Deals

OTHER

  • Report on Key Performance Indicators, Including New Lead Generation; Customer Visits; Number and Value of Quotations Submitted; Lead Conversion Rate; Order Book; Sales Revenue and Gross Margin
  • Comply with Deadlines on Required Elements of Personal Administration, Including, Sales Activity Reports, Maintenance of the Applications and CRM Database, Personal Expenses and Mileage etc

R E Q U I R  E D

  • Appropriate Engineering or Science Degree
  • Minimum 3 Years’ Experience of Business to Business Sales Experience or Customer Facing Technical Support to Sales Experience
  • Knowledge of Optical/Electro-Optical Systems is Advantageous
  • Presentable Appearance and Style
  • Effective Communicator, (Written, Spoken and Presentation)
  • Self-Motivated, Tenacious and Resilient
  • IT Literate, (MS Office Suite)

R E M U N E R A T I O N

  • A Basic Salary Circa £60K Per Annum Plus Benefits Including Car Allowance
