Design & Development Engineer

Reporting to the Lead Application Engineer, as Part of the Application Team, within the R&D Department, the Design & Development Engineer will be Engaged in a Multi-Dimensional, Technical and Flexible Role with a Varied Range of Duties and Responsibilities, Including the Development of Bespoke Condition Monitoring Solutions for Key OEMs and Supporting Customer Trials and the Sales Team

ROLE Includes

• Design and Development of Application Team New Products/Applications
• Customer’s Trial Support, Advice, Supervision and Management
• Supporting the Installation of Company Products, including Site Visits to Resolve Technical Issues
• Technical Support for all Queries regarding Company Product Range from Internal and External Customers
• Providing Technical Solutions and Troubleshooting on Product Range
• Being able to write technical documentation and reports
• Working in Conjunction with the Research Team Investigating Unexpected Product Issues Developed in the Field
• Design and Development of Bespoke Applications to Satisfy Client Requirements
• Installation and Commissioning of Condition Monitoring Solutions in Accordance with Industry Standards
• Direct Customer/Potential Customer Interface
• Attendance at Trade Shows and Conferences

REQUIREMENTS Include

ESSENTIAL

• Relevant Degree Level Qualification (Science/Engineering) and Substantial Technical Background (10 Years Minimum)
• Can-Do Attitude and flexibility
• Proven Ability to Learn New Technologies.
• Troubleshooting, Problem Solving and Analytical Skills
• Effective Communication Skills, Written and Spoken English
• IT Literate, Specifically MS Office Suite
• Comfortable with Off-Site Working in the UK and Overseas

HIGHLY DESIRABLE

• Previous Hands-On Experience of Electro-Mechanical Applications/Environments Familiar with Application Engineering Roles
• CAD Design Proficiency
• Familiar with Basic Electronics, Physics and Software Design/Processes

REMUNERATION

• A Basic Salary Circa £40K Per Annum
